Well our first full week at Rottnest and we left on the 10th March 2012 and the weather was awesome - very hot - reached 42 degrees on the Sunday and when we arrived in Thomo Bay Jaymen was there to meet us on the Brig - he had come over with the boys - and he helped us get a mooring for the night. Nathan & Nat (I think that is their names they are friends of Jaymen and Bec's) also joined us for a drink on the boat. After they left that afternoon we set up and Mark & Deanne arrived and their boys were also here on their other boat. We went to shore where Andrew, Brent & Jason had befriended some other boaties and they were having a few drinks & we then went to the pub for a meal as we hadnt eaten all day. That night was a little windy and rocky but very hot so nice. The next day we went and visited the Pedley's and had a drink with them and then back to the boat to just enjoy. It was super hot and so calm so we had our dinner then enjoyed a drink with Mark & Deanne on their boat and just enjoyed the serenity. That night was the calmest we had ever known it in Thompson bay but all night we just knocked into the mooring which kept us up a bit. The next day we headed to Geordie where we spent the next week with the Pedley's and also Roland & Sam were over their in their new Riviera - "Riv Raff" so there were a couple of big nights on the turps and lots of laughs. The days were awesome and we spent alot of time on the beach and just enjoying Rotto. Andrea and I went running/walking every morning and took the kids to Thompson on their bikes a couple of times. A few crays were caught by Geoff and one night the kids caught a heap of herring off of the back of Rol's boat. We had a couple of dolphin visitors in the bay which was awesome. The bay was pretty empty for most of the week and of course the weekend came and quite a few boats came into the bay and Geoff had to move off his mooring a couple of times and we were just heading into town and we got a call at 4.45pm Saturday to move our boat as the owner had arrived and he wanted his mooring. We left on the Sunday about 1pm and had a great trip home.
